Come on Spring, Where are You????
I woke up this morning and no beautiful pictures to take. It was very foggy and completely overcast. There was frost on all the brown grass from last year. Frost forms when the temperature is below freezing and it sure was this morning. It was quite pretty but the surroundings not so much, at least with the overcast, it will hold in some heat so we aren't so cold.
This morning the temperature when I left for school was 28F but it has risen to 32F which makes me hopeful that it will get a bit warmer, it is supposed to get to 60F today by 3:00 p.m. with some sun but we will see as of now it is not looking that way. There is not much for wind today but the humidity is at a whopping 96% but should decrease throughout the day but in contrast the winds will pick up from slight winds from 5 mph to the WSW to NW winds at 14mph or more. There is no precipitation in the forecast for today.
There is some severe weather than may be coming our way. Starting on April 4th through April 9th we should get quite a bit of rain, especially on Monday the 6th, there is slight chance this will be snow if it doesn't stay warm enough.

Temperatures are pretty mind all over right now. Surprising though that California is so chilly by their standards.

This map shows the likelihood of storms in our area. Our area here in Eau Claire should et between 1 inch and 2 inches, some areas in Iowa are predicted to get more.

This map indicates the change in temperature in the past 24 hours. It shows that it is a few degrees colder here in Eau Claire but many areas such as Florida, Nevada, Indiana, Missouri, especially on the corner of Oklahoma/Arkansas/Missouri/Nebraska has an increase of 23F!

Portland sure is rainy, no shocker on that!!!
The weather since we got here on Friday evening has been about what you would expect. Chilly, rainy, cloudy but everything everywhere is really green and lush.
There has been so many clouds and the most interesting clouds have been moving really fast across the sky, then there are clouds right by then sitting totally still. There were so many different types of clouds today. There are so many gorgeous flowers and trees from all the moisture in the air.
As you see the weather is quite typical for weather in Portland, 47F and the wind is very minimal at 4 mph, the humidity is 91%, which is quite a bit more than in Eau Claire.

Last Day of Eau Claire Weather!
Current weather is 46F!!!
Which is about what was expected for today. It has been very cloudy all day so far but there is now some sun shining through! I am excited for this! It's beautiful! The cloud coverage is scattered with some Stratus and CumuloStratus clouds.
I copied this from the Weather Channel because this is exactly what it looked like right outside the window of the classroom!
As it shows from the figure, the winds are from the south at 10mph, although it seems like it is quite a bit more than that outside.
According to this upper air data it shows that the winds are just a little faster as well at 850mb.

Its not too bad out today but could be warmer. It should be a few degrees warmer tomorrow. Some of us are going to Portland, Oregon tomorrow and I will be reporting temperatures from there.

Not too bad today, but could have been warmer.
Temperature today got to 52F, not as warm as I had hoped but not as nasty as it could have been. There was zero chance of rain or snow today!!! Wind was not much of a factor as the wind was a SSE wind at 1 mph when I checked. There were few clouds but wow were they gorgeous. I added numerous photos in the next session.

This maps shows the radar of any weather that is happening now. As you see, it is very clear in the Midwest area, there are a few areas of concern. The mid south continues to have rain and storms.

Look at these interesting maps, I wish I knew what all of it meant as it looks really interesting. The contour lines show the plots of the NAM model and precipitation forecasting. More info on this type of map to come.

I thought since tomorrow will be the last day for a week of reporting from Wisconsin, I thought I would add a map of all the areas reporting in Wisconsin instead of a U. S. Map.
Forecast for tomorrow is going to be about the same as today, still a bit chilly around 45F and no precipitation. There should scattered cloud coverage til around 6:00 p.m. right before the sun goes does, how convenient.

Quite windy and cold compared to the last week!
This morning was a bit chilly at 26F when I brought the kids to the bus stop. It warmed up a bit but not enough to be super excited about. What a gorgeous morning. The wind was pretty intense as well, it was a north wind at around 10 mph but there were some nasty gusts of 20 mph or so. Today I just wanted to share a bunch of pictures instead of a lot of info. It should be warmer tomorrow. It should be a beautiful day.

Still enjoying the weather
Still pretty nice out today. Quite a bit more clouds in the morning and early afternoon but still warm. The present temperature is 57F. There is a possibility that the temperature may get to 61F. It will be partly cloudy tonight with a low of 34F. Winds WNW up to at 15-20 mph. The wind makes it feel a little more chilly than the 57F.

This is the very powerful Tropical Cyclone Pam. Currently at category 5 storm. It will weaken to a category 4 as it moves south. The South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu is taking an extreme pounding from the 165 mph winds of Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Pam, one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded in the waters east of Australia.

There are still storms over the middle south area. This area continues to be under advisement for thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.

This water vapor map shows the mid south and south with a lot of water vapor in the air. It is very rainy in these regions. There is very little moisture in the air over the Midwest. Hopefully this will last a little longer. It seems the rain in the southern states is not going anywhere.

Everything is pretty mellow in the Eau Claire area. We are experiencing very little wind. In the southern states, indications of wind are congruent with the weather they are having there.
